“No Makeup” Makeup: Powder Foundation Routine

Hi Loves!!! Today I will show you my “No Makeup” makeup routine. This is my go to look when I’m in a rush. I don’t use foundation, only powder so it’s a pretty quick routine. Let’s get started! FYI: I am traveling for work so I did this look in my hotel room so I apologize for the bad lighting.

Just a quick note, I usually do not prime my face when I’m only using powder. I like how the powder gets “dewy” as the day goes on. By all means use a primer if you see fit! As always I did my brows first. Since I’m traveling I tried to keep the makeup I brought with me to a minimum (It was SO hard!) so I filled my brows in with pencil only and then cleaned them up with concealer. The next step is to conceal any dark spots. I placed the concealer with a Real Techniques brow brush and then blend it out with a damp Beauty Blender. As you can see the Beauty Blender blends out concealer flawlessly. It truly is worth the investment.

The next step is to highlight. This is a “no makeup” look so I honestly keep the highlighting to a minimum. I only highlight under my eyes to give a natural lift to the face and cover up my dark circles. I used the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Caramel and blended out with my Beauty Blender. This concealer is honestly my FAVORITE under eye concealer. I don’t know how I was living without it! It blends easily and does not crease on me if I set it.

Now to add the “foundation” I use M.A.C. Mineralize Skinfinish all over my face with a Real Techniques powder brush. This is my favorite brush to use because it’s dense and big. I first push the powder into my skin and then I buff it in using circular motions. I use M.A.C.’s Blunt and an e.l.f. complexion brush to contour. The reason I use this brush is because it’s bigger and doesn’t pick up to much product. It gives more of a bronzed look and not a harsh contour look. I apply it to the hollows of my cheeks and around my forehead. I then add M.A.C.’s Spaced Out blush. I am not sure if this is limited edition or not but it’s a very natural peachy pink color. I apply this with an e.l.f. small stipple brush because I really like the way it spreads shimmer colors. The last step for the face is highlighting my cheeks. I used M.A.C. Global Glow and a small fan brush from BHcosmetics. Global Glow is beautiful! It’s a white gold highlight that looks very natural.

The last steps are to add mascara to your top and bottom lashes and add your favorite natural gloss to the lips. That’s how I achieved my “No Makeup” makeup look. It took me about 20 minutes to get this face. The longest part is my brows of course lol. I love this look when I’m running out the door but want to look decent. Great for work! I went through a “no foundation” stage and used this exact same technique but would do my eye shadow and it still looked great.
